Corporate Communications Manager

Roles and responsibilities

•  Oversee and develop all marketing communications and strategies for the firm

  • Includes both internal and external stakeholder communications
  • Develop positioning of key messages for the firm in each market
  • Develop messaging for different target audience segments
  • Work with marketing team to build content strategy and generate original content to drive awareness of Fundnel’s brand in each market
  • Work with each business unit (BU) to achieve communications objectives including driving organic traffic to increase sign-ups across owned and earned channels
  • Create and implement marketing tactics alongside progress measured by the marketing funnel (Awareness > Engagement > Conversion > Advocacy)
  • Own and manage all web-based written content to be featured on fundnel.com
  • Develop copy for social media posts, newsletter,and internal communications
  • Utilise email as a primary marketing tool to engage Fundnel’s investor base, carried out via:
  • Email marketing in the form of a fortnightly newsletter ‘The Filter’ covering industry deals, news, and trends
  • Deal blasts targeting specific segments of the investor base to showcase relevant deals to be followed up subsequently by the     Investments Team
  • Other ad-hoc email marketing opportunities directed by the BUs

•  Oversee and manage all PR-related activities with current public relationsagency-of-record (PR AOR)

  • Build relationships with journalists and corporate communications communities in relevant organisations
  • Secure media coverage for the company across print, online, and broadcast media
  • Secure keynote speaking positions for the company at trade and industry conferences
  • Manage and control all aspects of crisis management for the firm
  • Work with incumbent third-party team to develop PR initiatives on a long term(annual) and short term (monthly) basis
  • Work with PR AOR to identify key media opportunities     (press articles, bylines,op-eds, speaking opportunities and event appearances) for Fundnel’s co-founders and BU heads

•  Lead offline event planning and execution on a quarterly basis

  • Work in tandem with BU heads and operations manager to conceptualise, develop and execute offline events, typically targeted at engaging the wider investor community
  • Handle all manner of event planning tasks, including goal and agenda setting, budget planning, registration, pre-and post-event marketing

 

Skills and experience required
  • Diploma or Degree in Communications, Business Management (Marketing), Economics,Information Management
  • 5-8 years of experience in communications and content strategy, preferably in the finance / fintech sector
  • Strong experience with content generation and SEO principles, with hands-on experience in digital marketing
  • Experience in managing third party agencies
  • Familiar with media handling and organisation
  • Familiar with marketing analytics and goal tracking
  • Good copy writing skills required
  • Strong technical proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote,Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency in Design Software (Adobe Suite, Canva) will be an added advantage
  • Agency experience is a bonus
