We’re on the hunt for a challenge-seeking Technical Product Manager, who will own the API-driven roadmaps of our Services and Exchange teams.

To solve for the fragmented and barrier-prone nature of private markets, we are building an ecosystem that seamlessly connects our investors, fundraisers and partners and guides each group through their respective journeys with minimal friction. To address the complexities of different asset types, regulatory schemes, and market participants, we have placed a deep focus on organizing data and defining underlying business processes in a thoughtful and scalable way.

Our Services and Exchange teams are at the very heart of our ecosystem, driving everything required to enable our investors and issuers to efficiently trade within our market. Services run the length of our client-facing interfaces, while the downstream Exchange team supports the crypto-enabled trading and custodial infrastructure of southeast Asia’s first member-driven exchange, HGX.

Job purpose

This role is all about deeply understanding existing business and industry processes, taking a step back to re-envision them for the better, and then helping to map those solutions to pragmatic technical requirements. It also involves evaluating the needs of our ecosystem partners, as well as assessing vendors and emerging technologies that will best augment our operations. We won’t lie – this is a broad remit, so we’re looking for someone who loves technical challenges as much as business ones, and who can craft elegant solutions out of a lot of traditional complexity.

You’ll be working across our full suite of services that provide underlying functionality for our deal screening, digital asset exchange (with blockchain, crypto and defi integrations), investor matching, KYC/onboarding, settlement, and several other key business functions.

Given the technical nature of this product area, we’re looking for a PM who has experience working closely with engineers and who understands the principles, benefits and challenges of API-driven systems and service-oriented architectures. You don’t need to have been a technical contributor in the past, but we’re hoping that you’re comfortable with getting into the details of API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), as well as the concepts of microservice design, including how they are maintained and tested.

Roles and responsibilities

Developing strong relationships and in-depth knowledge across all of our departments and business functions
Owning the documentation of business processes, in their current state and as they change with on-the-ground realities and strategic shifts
Thinking abstractly about our products, markets, and segments to formulate adaptable solutions that work for today and for tomorrow
Working closely with our cross-functional delivery teams, particularly our Director of Product, CTO, and team leads, to develop agile processes that allow for rapid and collaborative mapping of business requirements to technical solutions
Coordinating our agile workflows, working with technical stakeholders to ensure sprint tasks and goals are clearly defined
Assessing new vendors and technologies (e.g. layer 1 blockchain protocols and layer 2 frameworks), and working with leadership to strategize on roadmap evolution and decisions around build-vs-buy
Being an ambassador for our data team, ensuring we are collecting and analyzing all relevant data points in everything we build
Keeping our regulatory obligations front of mind through working closely with your legal & compliance colleagues and staying abreast of legislation in the regions in which we operate

You’ll be a great fit for us if you

Good working knowledge of what APIs are and how they are designed
Experience with writing technical, developer-focused product requirements, with consideration given to security, data, and testing implications
An appreciation/interest in Web3 technologies, ideally with some direct experience. While we do not call ourselves a DeFi company, we are always looking to ensure we pragmatically assess and incorporate the right technology, including crypto, to move traditional private markets toward a more accessible, scalable, and liquid paradigm
A high-level understanding of service-oriented architectures, including some of the challenges they can present
Strong experience working closely with external partners, both in terms of crafting requirements to serve their business needs, as well as liaising with their technical stakeholders
A strong sense of pragmatism and prioritization, moving toward an ambitious big picture in small, iterative steps
Strong mindfulness of enterprise-grade IT security and data privacy best practices, and an ability to map regulatory requirements to work at hand
Some knowledge of financial services, investments in particular, although you by no means need to be an expert (we’ve got several of those you can learn from!)
Experience working with at least one major cloud provider, and the role of their key components (serverless functions, API gateways, etc.) is an asset
Some knowledge of code repositories, particularly Github or Bitbucket, and the code review/release process

As a close-knit, social team we generally prefer to work together in person at one of our offices. That said, we provide a flexible working environment that is adaptable to periods of working from home.
